Erika profile Erika Obert, LM, CPM After becoming a direct entry midwife in 2006, Erika ran a home birth practice in Ohio for 8 years.  In 2013, she sat for the NARM CPM exam and received the credential of Certified Professional Midwife.  Erika received a license to practice midwifery from the state of Texas in 2014 when the decision was made to relocate to San Antonio and accept a position at a high volume birth center.  After 15 months of birth center work, Erika founded Family Tree Midwifery. PLLC to provide home birth services to San Antonio and the surrounding area.  As a midwife, Erika has a special interest in VBAC, breech and water birth.  Erika sat on the Ad hoc Water Birth Committee for the state of Texas in 2015 and has received training at The Farm Midwifery Center in Tennessee.  Erika has 6 children, 5 of which were born at home in water.
